Our family oriented centre is located on Manchester Road in Flatbush and our numbers are increasing so we are searching for an experienced and certificated kaiako to join our team.
Our centre has three well-resourced learning spaces for our tamariki to explore, express themselves, and flourish as the unique individuals they are! We are inspired by the Reggio approach and respectful practice, and we are committed to supporting whānau relationships within our diverse and multi-cultural community.
We are growing a supportive team culture and are looking for a new kaiako who is enthusiastic, energetic, positive, and keen to partner with us to help bring our vision and philosophy to life. You would be working with our team in the infants space. You would need to be comfortable working alongside all tamariki, as we have a free flowing and inclusive curriculum where we support sibling relationships, and all the wonderful learning that emerges from tuakana / teina interactions.
A sound understanding of Te Whāriki, experience with observing and documenting learning through a dispositional lens, and a willingness to contribute to internal evaluation and review are required. If you are fully certificated and are keen to provide mentorship for others, this would be an added bonus!
You would need to be available to work rotating shifts between the hours of 7.30–5.30pm and attend an after-hours team meeting once per month.
If this is of interest and you would like to talk further, please get in touch.
