We recognise that every child is unique and has individual care and learning needs. Our team seek to work with you; the parent, guardian and/or whānau, to provide your child/ren with individual care and educational opportunities. Caring and experienced team
Our teaching team provide individual care and learning opportunities for your children and are q

ualified or near qualified early childhood teachers. Small group sizes
We provide 3 dedicated areas for children to ensure small group sizes are maintained. Kiwi - maximum 8 infants (8 weeks - 2 years)
Kea - maximum 13 toddlers (2 - 4 years)
Pukeko - maximum 23 young children (3½ - 5 years)
Children do have opportunities to interact and play with children within all 3 areas.

20 hours free ECE (early childhood education)
We offer families 20 Ministry of Education subsidised hours for your child/ren from their third birthday, until they start school. Work and Income childcare subsidies
Dunsandel Childcare and Preschool is an approved service provider, enabling your family to access Work and Income childcare subsidies should you be eligible.

🌟Proud is an understatement! Tonight our tamariki opened for our Ngā Mātāpuna o te Waihora Kāhui Ako Pō Whakangahau. It was a big stage for little people at Ellesmere College but they blew the roof off with their kapahaka! A huge shout out to Children First Preschool for combining with us to make this night special for our tamariki and their whānau 🌟

A massive thank you to Steve at Ellesmere Butchery for your kind donations and supporting us again! Also a special mention to G and Selwyn for the delicious hāngi, Nick Reid for the lamb, our whānau vege donations and lastly to the stars of the night.. our tamariki and their whānau!
