2 DAYS UNTIL RELAY FOR LIFE 💜💜.

Kia Ora PEMA Whanāu,
If you haven’t already, sign up in our bio for Relay for life this Saturday from (10-10pm). PEMA’s theme this year is rugby, very broad so come in any gear, any era, any team!

Relay For Life is a community event that brings people together to remember loved ones affected by cancer, celebrate survivors, and fight back through fundraising and awareness. Organised by the Cancer Society of New Zealand, it symbolises hope, support, and unity as teams walk in relay to show that no one faces cancer alone.

This kaupapa is close to many of our hearts, as cancer has touched the lives of whānau, friends, and our wider community.

Te Rōpū Māori (TRM) has registered us as part of the wider rōpū taking part in Relay For Life. This will be our second shield event were we collect point with the more pole that join. So we warmly invite you to be part of this kaupapa, stand together in support, and help make a meaningful difference this Saturday 🌼🌼

Tēnā koutou katoa,
We know that times are a bit uncertain right know but always remember PEMA is here to tautoko you no matter what! Please do not hesitate to reach out to us 💙
Keep an eye out on our socials over the next couple of days as we are going to start sharing ideas to help you have a break from your mahi, these might include recipes, quizes or workouts! Today we're starting off with some recipes from Olivia to satisfy those cravings. Chuck us a picture in the comments if your decide to make them! Tomorrow we're going to hold an Zoom Study Night (we'll post links tomorrow). This is less a study night and more an opportunity to see some faces that aren't within your bubble.
Keep checking in on your friends, whanau and your hauora. If you're struggling or feel isolated please reach out to us or someone you trust to navigate through this time together. If you are in a situation where you are struggling to complete your mahi let us, your lecturer or teaching fellows know and we can support you in anyway that is relevant. We will include a list of support services in the comments. Lastly a reminder that Pūtea Tautoko is still available for students. If Covid-19 is directly affecting you financially we encourage you to apply for Pūtea Tautoko through Evision.
Most of all we send our aroha to you ALL 🅿️
Nā runga i tērā, kia manawanui. Kia haumaru te noho
