Friday Newsletter Term 3 Week 3 - 7th August

No Miniball Practice tomorrow.

Due to the adverse weather / driving conditions all schools are now closed for the day.

10 a.m start this morning due to road conditions. There will be no Bernie’s bus pick ups or Before School Care. Take care and keep warm.

The Otago Daily Times has issued the following: "Dunedin residents may be late for work on Tuesday as a polar blast hits the city on Monday night. Snow levels are expected to fall to sea level until noon on Tuesday, MetService said in an update on Monday morning.”

Please keep an eye on our page and Hero, or listen to the radio in the morning for any updates on potential late starts.

It is particularly important if your children get the Bernie’s Bus or attend Before School Care as these will also be impacted in the event of a late start.

Sadly our wonderful van driver and caretaker are moving away so we are on the lookout for a driver for our morning round of pick ups, and someone to keep our school grounds shipshape. The caretaking is 6 hours per week, usually at the weekend and the van driving is an hour a day.

As mentioned in last weeks newsletter, we have a new Counsellor, Nel!

Even though a HERO notice was posted earlier in the year, requesting your permission if your child wishes to see the school councellor, we have had, since then, many new tamariki start throughout the year and we have put the survey up again.

We would appreciate it if you would please indicate your answer, Yes or No, on the survey on HERO, even if you have already done this previously.
