The ever amazing Ros Kemp will present her Inaugural Professorial Lecture (IPL) tomorrow.
IPLs are a celebration. A chance to listen to the new Professor tell their story - where they came from, how they got here, an overview of their work (in lay terms, don't worry!). IPLs are beautiful and there are often a few laughs in there too ;)

CTCR researcher collaborations have received 3 years of funding to develop a method of treating stomach cancer by releasing drugs only in the stomach.
Many of the potential treatments have undesirable side effects on other parts of the body, so by localising treatment delivery to the surface of the stomach, these side effects can be avoided!
