Unlucky for some but not for us...Celebrating our 13th year on Facebook and in business although our official birthday is later in the year. Thank you for your continuing support. We would never have made it this far without you. 🙏🤗🎉...We are about to take a very short (13ish day trip out of New Zealand to visit the shores of Bali, Indonesia for a bit of much needed R & R, we will still try to help you if we can but email will be the best way to reach us and we are sorry if we miss any urgent messages). But rest assured we will be back and rearing to continue to help you get your own slice of R & R when we return from the 7th August and thereafter.

Are you aware of this extra school holiday? “Easter Tuesday”

EASTER TUESDAY 🐰 A friendly reminder that Tuesday, 2 April 2024 is a school holiday.

Sometimes when Easter falls later in April, this holiday gets wrapped into the term break. But when it doesn't, Easter Tuesday is still a day off.

WHAT ABOUT EARLY LEARNING?
Terms and holidays are set for state schools under the Education (When State Schools Must Be Open) Regulations 2022. While many early childhood services follow school terms and holidays, some choose to operate.

Check with your provider if you're unsure. It's up to each early learning service to decide if they will operate on Easter Tuesday.

HOURLY RATE UPDATE: We know inflation (among all the other things) continues to squeeze many families. Unfortunately it squeezes our babysitters too. We have been reviewing our hourly rate recently with the increased minimum living wage rises, and because we support the living wage movement, the time has come to increase the hourly rate to continue to support and value our babysitters. Therefore, we have made the following changes...

As from 1st August for new families and from 1st September for current members (a member benefit):
The standard babysitter hourly rate is now $26 per hour,
The public holiday/short notice rate remains at $30 per hour (as applicable), and
There has also been a $5 increase in the minimum booking time and cancellation fees both now $35 (for members) and $45 (for non-members).

Also from 1st of January 2024 the petrol reimbursement rate will be 95c per KM (when babysitters are transporting your children using their own vehicle - or other agreed amount).
