A huge thank you to Kath Bee - Children's Songwriter for sprinkling so much fun, energy, and sunshine into our kura on Friday. Our tamariki loved singing, dancing, laughing, and joining in throughout the show.

Thank you for sharing your music with us and making our Friday buzz with excitement 🐝❤️

Last week we were lucky to welcome Bob Bickerton to our school to share and perform taonga puoro with our tamariki. The children were fascinated by the unique sounds and instruments, and it sparked lots of thinking about the different sounds and “instruments” they could discover in nature and around the playground.

Bob shared that ever since Hirini Melbourne challenged him, he has taken taonga puoro into schools and shared them with hundreds of thousands of tamariki and rangatahi around the motu over the past 30 years. What a special experience for our school!
