One of amazing teacher-aides working with a couple of our wonderful students. At in2learning we are over staffed so that students get as much 1-1 time as possible!

It doesn’t take much sometimes to stop and truly value people. A little appreciation, a pat on the back and some chocolate goes a long way! I couldnt do this without a team.
I am so incredibly lucky to have the BEST team of people who work alongside me here.
My people work hard and with integrity every single lesson. Student who are lucky to work with my people get the very best, as my people truly KNOW, LIKE and RESPECT each student.
This is why I love my job.

We have the BEST job in the world. The BEST kids and families and we get to see real progress! Looking for someone who is reliable and long term.
This job may suit teacher aides, retired teachers , ECE teachers, or those training in teaching.

I’m seeing a lot of discussion around the very high standards - particularly in maths, and I understand parents (and children) being very concerned. Whilst i applaud having a higher standard (we are below our peer countries such as the UK and Australia), I truly believe it is TOO much TOO quickly. And if I have learnt anything from tutoring for nearly 10 years now- this huge expectation is going to cause ANXIETY levels to go through the roof (for students and parents!) and we all know that anxious learners cannot learn.
We need to teach the basics first and do that properly. Once students know the basic building blocks then you can really extend their knowledge and skills. Trying to teach fractions or ratios for example, to a student who doesn’t have a firm understanding of their times tables doesn’t work!

This changing curriculum with higher standards and expectations can be very challenging for parents and children to navigate.
Here at In2learning Dunedin we focus on building confidence and skills to help students catch up, stay on track, or get ahead!

Always happy to collaborate with other businesses and super happy to support neurodiverse students fund raising in our community. And Bingo is so much fun!
Thank you Otago Pet foods for your donation.
