Well done to the three hip hop crews who represented Trinity Catholic College yesterday at the NZ Schools Hip Hop National Championships - KiDZ, INSYNC, and Dynasty - and a special congratulations to Lulu Mahoney and Valery Herrero (INSYNC) who placed 3rd in the Secondary Mini Crew section. This section includes students through to Year 13, so for two junior students to place nationally is an outstanding achievement. Thank you to the students who have coached these crews all year - Lola van de Klundert, Freya Sutherland, and Amber Woods.

It has been a fantastic week for our Trinity teams who have been away competing at the School Sport NZ Winter Sports week, and for the Trinity Girls First XI Football team, the SISS Lotto Sportswear Tournament in Invercargill presented a wonderful opportunity to showcase how much this talented group of young women have developed over the past few seasons.

What a great basketball season we have had at Trinity! Junior A Girls 2nd in the South Island B grade tournament, and Junior A Boys 4th in the South Island A grade premiership tournament. Our boys went through the season unbeaten until the semifinals at tournament, closely losing to Nelson Boys’ and Cashmere HS. Well done to all our players and the awesome coaching teams running a great basketball programme. Ka rawe! All the best to our senior teams competing in the senior tournament for the rest of the week.

With the NZ Secondary Schools Winter Sports Week in full swing across the motu, we are loving the updates coming through from all our Trinity teams away competing with pride for our kura. The Trinity Catholic College Junior Rugby Team has travelled to the West Coast this week, playing a range of matches and gaining a huge amount of experience competing against some tough opposition (not to mention the experience of playing in misty, cold coastal conditions!!). Here are a few pics of the team's adventures so far......
