Are you considering or using qualitative research in your study? The upcoming workshop could be helpful for you:

🔥 CONSIDERING INNOVATIONS IN QUALITATIVE RESEARCH TO ENHANCE THEORY DEVELOPMENT
🔥Qualitative research in management and organizational research is growing and is primarily associated with interview-based approaches focused on theory development. In this talk, Anne will build on this positive growth trend in qualitative publications to discuss novel data, analysis, and designs that can further enhance theory development. This connection of methodological innovations and theory development is the focus of the Academy of Management Journal’s push into methods papers as part of its mission, which will be discussed in this session. This talk will build on recent and forthcoming Academy of Management ‘From the Editors’ articles and Anne’s own methodological publications to discuss novel and provocative data collection and data analysis approaches and innovative designs.

Research students start with ambitious goals. However, by the end of the first year, fatigue sets in, and confusion takes over. To get things going, they dive into the data collection. When it comes to writing the thesis, they find themselves reverse-engineering the research questions and rejigging the literature chapter. If this resonates with you, then this workshop is for you…

HOW TO CARRY OUT RESEARCH LEADING TO A REWARDING CAREER
🔥Research questions are fundamental for carrying out scientific investigations. Using the metaphor of a burger (not the one you get at McDonald’s but at Re: Burger), it is the sumptuous fillings between the two buns. The right research question ensures the investigation contributes to knowledge, which is crucial for generating publications and a successful academic career.

In this talk, we will explain the significance of writing research questions. Using the known-unknowns matrix, we will explain the role of epistemology in leading us to ask the right research question
