A massive congratulations to Saxon, who has officially completed and passed his Level 4 Commercial Barbering Course — which means he’s now officially a Barber!

From starting placement back in July to joining the BLOKE team in September, it’s been incredible to see how far you’ve come in such a short time. Your growth, dedication, and natural skill set truly speak for themselves.

You’ve got a big future ahead of you, and the entire BLOKE crew is stoked to have you as part of the family.

It was amazing to celebrate your achievement yesterday at our Graduation Evening 🧑‍🎓

Alongside celebrating graduates from each class: Tū Tika (Alternative Education); NCEA Level 2 Automotive; NCEA Level 2 Building & Construction; Build A Bach; and Level 4 Commerical Barbering, we also recognised Carel from Build A Bach as our recipient for the Manaakitanga Award, and Oscar as our highest scoring student on Pathways Awarua 🌠

Thank you to our whānau, stakeholders and community for supporting our tauira in their success 💚 And a massive thank you to Rob from Gelato Ju**ie for the incredible ice creams 🍦

We had a raffle and first prize was this beautiful seat that our lovely tauira Benji made 🪚

Amazingly, we're into Week 13 of Build A Bach!! 🪚Only one more full week left to go!!

Weeks 11 and 12's highlights were:

☑️Assembling the kitchen cabinets supplied by Mearns And Leckie 2024 Limited with some our our Level 2 Construction students 🔨
☑️Getting Ty's wiring signed off by Sparky Phil - Dunedin and Mosgiel Electrician 💡
☑️ Getting the bathroom ready - installing the shower tray and assembling the shower doors 🚿

We were so impressed with Brody's talent! The taniwha is now pride of place in our Automotive classroom 🌠
