Livestream drop from Polyfest
Brockville Kindergarten is in part 8.

The question on everyone's mind - where can I watch the livestream back?

The lovely team at The Video Factory Limited have made the Livestream version of Otago Polyfest 2026 in a Vimeo Showcase for you all to access. This also includes St Kevin's College: Te Kapa Haka o Hato Kēwini from when the livestream temporarily dropped out.

It is te wiki o te reo Māori next week.
Kōrero te reo Māori to be in the draw to win some Woolworths vouchers.
The more you kōrero, the more chances you have to win.

Our first full dress rehearsal for our Polyfest performance next Friday 11th.
We are so excited and very proud of our mokopuna and kaiako.

We have made the decision to close kindy for the day as the snow is increasing and the roads are getting dangerous to drive in.

It is with much sadness that our good friend Dougal the guinea pig passed away this morning. He has given us so much aroha over the years. We will miss his cuddles and squeaks.

We are so grateful to KidsCan for supporting the oral health of our mokopuna.
Amazing learning about looking after ourselves.
Each day after morning tea mokopuna brush their teeth.
And they also get the opportunity to practice brushing Kev, Jolene and Ted Sheeran teeth.

Kia ora e te whānau 🌼🪔
On Friday the 28th of August we will be having a yellow dress up day in support of Daffodil day 🌼
If you don’t have any yellow clothing at home, we will have yellow arts and crafts available for our tamariki to make their own dress up and props for Daffodil day 🌼

The Daffodil is one of the first flowers of spring, representing hope and new life for the thousands of New Zealanders affected by cancer.

On Friday some of our whānau are celebrating Raksha Bandhan 🪔💛 this is a festival that originates from India, celebrating the loving bond between brothers, sisters and best friends.
They tie a special bracelet called a Rakhi as a promise to always take care of each other.
On Thursday the 27th of August, we will be celebrating Raksha Bandhan with our tamariki.

This festival celebration encourages inclusivity and fosters manaakitanga through the tuakana teina relationships of our tamariki 💛🪔

Happy Raksha Bandhan to those who are celebrating! 🪔🪷💛
