Otago Cross Country Championships

A fantastic day of racing for our Tahuna students at the Otago Cross Country Championships.

It was great to see our students competing against some of the best runners from across Otago and representing Tahuna with pride, determination and plenty of effort.

A special mention to our Year 7 Boys, who produced an outstanding result:

1st – Luke Sutton
3rd – Albert Smith
5th – Perry Saker

An excellent result, with three Tahuna runners finishing inside the top five, including Luke taking out the Year 7 Boys title.

Well done to all of our students who competed today. It was great to see everyone getting stuck in, pushing themselves and giving their best on the course.

Metro Junior Touch Trials; Sunday 11 October

We have a strong touch cohort at Tahuna, and we’d love to see some of our students take the opportunity to give these trials a real good go.

Otago Touch Association are holding their Metro Junior Trials for Under 12 and Under 14 boys and girls at Kensington Oval on Sunday 11 October.

If your child enjoys touch and is keen to challenge themselves, this is a great opportunity to test their skills, meet other young players and potentially take the next step in their touch journey.

Under 12: Registration 10:30am | Trial 11:00am–12:00pm
Under 14: Registration 11:30am | Trial 12:00pm–1:00pm

If you think your child would enjoy the opportunity, encourage them to get along and give it a go!

Kia ora parents and caregivers,

Bayfield High School is running a Year 5–8 Sports Have-A-Go & Coaching Holiday Programme these school holidays, with Tahuna Intermediate students welcome to attend.

The programme includes volleyball, touch rugby, futsal, tennis, aerobics and hip-hop.

A great opportunity for students to stay active, try something new and have some fun over the holidays.
