Quick Update: Balmacewen Athletics Day

Our Athletics Day is happening on Friday, 23 October!

Due to upcoming maintenance at the Caledonian track, the Dunedin City Council has asked us to move to a new venue this year. We'll be heading to Memorial Park in Mosgiel instead.

We are arranging buses to transport all students to and from the park. To help cover the transport cost, a $5 fee will be added to your child's account. Please email your child's teacher if they won't require bus transport to get to and from Mosgiel.

More details about the day will be sent out at the start of Term 4!

RIPPA RUGBY DAY CANCELLED (no postponement). unfortunately, due to weather the organisers have had to cancel the event this year.

Last Friday Balmacewen Intermediate had 35 students compete at the Otago Primary Schools Cross Country Champs. All athletes did well in the windy conditions at Kettle Park. We had a number of athletes make the top 10 in each of the events and Balmacewen took out first place in 3 out of the 4 events!

Everett, Kobi, Leo, Kano, Levi, Jordan and Finn played at a tournament in Oamaru over the weekend - playing representative basketball for U14 Otago teams.

They will all play more competitive basketball in a 4 day tournament held at Edgar in the second week of the holidays.
