🎉 Congratulations to five University of Otago students who have earned selection to the 2026 FISU World University Championships!

🥅 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐬𝐚𝐥 – 𝐏𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 (𝟐𝟖 𝐉𝐮𝐧 – 𝟗 𝐉𝐮𝐥). Cooper Wink, Dominic Hawkins, and George Willett have been selected into the NZ Men's Futsal squad.

🚣 𝐑𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 – 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐚 (𝟏𝟑–𝟏𝟓 𝐀𝐮𝐠) Gerard Wall heads to Canada to compete in the Men's Double with Alex Fletcher (University of Canterbury).

🧭 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 – 𝐏𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐥 (𝟐𝟖 𝐉𝐮𝐥 – 𝟏 𝐀𝐮𝐠) Isabella Zinzan-Dickie heads to Portugal to compete at the FISU World Championship Orienteering Championships.

The FISU World University Championships bring together student-athletes from across the globe, and we're proud to have five of our students at that level. A fantastic achievement and we look forward to following their campaign.

Please make sure you bring your student ID card to scan in and show at the group fitness class. 📣 STUDENT OPPORTUNITY: Assistant Coach/Team Manager – 5x5 National Tertiary Tournament.

Want to get coach/management experience with university sport at a national level?

We're looking for two motivated University of Otago students to travel with the University team as Assistant Coach/ Team Manager for the 5x5 National Tertiary Tournament in Chrischurch this September. Only two spots are available - one with the female team, one with the male team.

🗓️ Dates:
• Travel: 10 September
• Tournament: 11–12 September
• Return: 13 September

What you'll do:
• Build your coaching/management CV at a national level
• Support the team with logistics, coordination, and on-the-day operations
• Gain hands-on experience in coaching/ sports management
• Represent the University of Otago at a national event

it's doubles week and we have 3 more doubles classes planned! we thought, why not double the fun and let all of you students bring a mate (a mate who is a student) and come along to a themed class for free!! so come on down to pump, core and yogalates and get amongst the fun! great way to trial our classes before signing up for full year/sem 2 membership! 🥳🥳🥳
