Here at Kaikorai Valley College, spring is definitely in the air with our gorgeous cherry blossoms in full bloom! Our Senior rangatahi are in the middle of their mock exams and according to Danni and Leeroy, this morning's 200English exam was okaaaay-ish..! 😃📝💚❤

Here at KVC we kicked off te wiki o te reo Māori with a 'pūkana off'! Matua Tate had a wide range of our awesome rangatahi demonstrating their inner power and strength during class; pictured here are our champions of the day expressing their personal pride, passion and mana! ❤💚👍

HEADS UP!!!
Next Monday the 21st of September, KVC will be holding a TEACHER ONLY DAY to discuss and plan for upcoming curriculum changes. There will be no classes for our students on this day. 🙏❤💚👍

Kaikorai Valley College's wonderful Brathwaite Centre is always fronting up and impressing everyone with their commitment to arts, culture and learning and last night they gave an outstanding performance at our Otago Polyfest!! 💚❤️

It's so good to see the KVC support in the audience acknowledging the mana of these fine students at the end of their performance. ❤️💚

Down at the KVC gym this past lunchtime, round 2 of Inter-house Volleyball saw Mighty Totara comfortably beat Kōwhai in all 3 games. Mataī and Rātā had a much closer battle with Rātā sneaking a close win. It was great to see some Year 9&10s today!! 💚❤🏐😃👍

This past Friday, a group of our keen Year 9 Enviroschools leaders - Atticus W, Kobi R, Lin M, Amy A, and Eli H attended the regional student hui themed "Energy Sparks Over Time".
Based at the historic Dunedin Gasworks Museum, the students spent the day exploring how energy use and sustainability have evolved in our region. Highlights included hands-on workshops on local history, interactive problem-solving, and a short walk to Te Wāhi Auaha Makerspace at the South Dunedin Library to test creative eco-tech ideas.
Our students represented the school brilliantly, demonstrating great enthusiasm, teamwork, and critical thinking throughout the day. They returned to school buzzing with fresh ideas to kickstart our upcoming sustainability and green initiatives on campus.

A big thank you to the organisers at Enviroschools and the Gasworks Museum for hosting such an engaging, empowering event! 💚❤😃👍
