Today, it was KVC's pleasure to host members of the NZ Police Force as they spent the day with our Year 12 students as part of their nationwide "Loves Me Not" programme.
Our students appreciated the chance to discuss and explore the core elements of healthy relationships, understand the complexities of consent, and recognise the early warning signs of relationship abuse and coercive control. KVC thanks our friends from the NZ Police for running this hugely valuable day with expertise, empathy and warmth. πβ€

Today at KVC our Senior English classes welcomed the 'Poetry in Action' theatre troupe to our hall to explore and demonstrate the power and beauty of language, with a specific nod to WW1 poetry. This trio of performers did a wonderful job of bringing to life the words of Wilfred Owen and Sigfried Sassoon, helping our students to understand the context and meaning of their poetry. πβ€
