We're open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9am-1pm at 40 Tyne Street, Roslyn. Come for three visits to see what it's about! ☺️ Essentially, Playcentre is a place to play and explore alongside your child. Through play based around their natural interests, our children are supported to become confident, competent self-directed learners. At Playcentre, they gain knowledge through play, particip
ation, and positive guidance. There is no other organisation for early childhood education and family development quite like Playcentre in the world. Thousands of kiwi children (and their parents, too) have grown up with Playcentre. For new families, the first three visits to our centre are free. So please stop by and find out how welcoming and encouraging our centre is for you and your tamariki. ABOUT OUR CENTRE
Our two educators at the Roslyn/Maori Hill Playcentre - Ros and Becca - are experienced and passionate about children's learning and development. If you have any questions with regard to the Playcentre sessions please don't hesitate to ask. Our Children’s curiosity and creativity is nurtured through the fun range of experiences provided. And no two days at Playcentre are the same. Our children develop nurturing and social skills which have lifelong benefits. Siblings attend together, allowing older children to mentor younger children and practise empathy and caring. Our parental relationships developed through Playcentre provide support from parents and help them develop new parenting and life skills. One of the ways Playcentre is different to any other early childhood centre is that our parents are actively involved in providing our children’s learning programmes. The high adult to child ratio allows a good balance for group and individual support during each session. Our parents are encouraged to think outside the box when it comes to setting up these invitations for play. For over 50 years, Roslyn/Maori Hill Playcentre has been offering a quality preschool programme for children aged 0-5 years and their family.
