This is how we spent our snow day... building snowmen, making snow angels, throwing snowballs, exploring the winter wonderland, and sharing lots of laughter together! ☃️

We hope everyone enjoyed making special memories with their whānau today. These are the moments our tamariki will remember and cherish for years to come.

Because this is a MOE emergency closing, you will not be charged for the day.

Due to the snow and ice conditions, and delayed school starts, we unfortunately will have a delayed start of 10am at this stage. No staff will be at Little Wonders, so please don't come and drop your child off before then. If you choose to keep your child at home, please let us know

Exploring light, colour, and perspective encouraged scientific thinking, problem-solving, and observation, while strengthening fine motor skills and sparking conversations. These simple yet engaging resources inspire tamariki to wonder, discover, and learn through joyful play. 🌈

Children know when they feel safe, valued and truly seen. The biggest smiles, the loudest laughter and the moments of pure joy aren't something we can ask for - they grow naturally through trusting relationships.

The recent rainy weather has transformed our outdoor environment, providing wonderful opportunities for learning and discovery. Our tamariki were captivated as they stood together, looking over the fence at the enormous puddles that had formed. Rich conversations flowed as they shared their observations, wondered where all the water had come from, noticed reflections, and talked about the changing world around them. Moments like these remind us that meaningful learning often begins with curiosity, encouraging children to observe, question, and make sense of the natural environment.
