SEEKING A FEW MORE BABY SCIENTISTS!!
This study is investigating the role that early parent-child interactions play in children’s development.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
We are looking for 18-26 month old toddlers and their caregivers. As this research topic involves language development, we are focusing on families from primarily English-language speaking homes at this time. Participation for this study is home-based and completely online! Therefore, participants should have access to at least one technological device (e.g., a computer or a tablet) with a functional in-built camera and a microphone.
WHAT DOES PARTICIPATION INVOLVE?
You will be asked to 1) Complete an Online Questionnaire taking approximately 15 minutes, AND 2) Participate in a Virtual (Zoom) Session with your toddler, in which you will describe a picture book to your child, and which takes approximately 20-40 minutes.
We have enjoyed our sessions with our participants so far (and reportedly so have the parents). It is an interesting experience, and all our participants are reimbursed: (1) with $10 for participation, (2) virtual activity and colouring pages for your child, and (3) a virtual certificate for completing the study.
INTERESTED? Please get in touch via message or comment on this post. A research student will get in touch with you shortly to provide more information and to enter you to our participant database if you're interested. THANK YOU! :-)
