Great day at Central Cup. Year 7/8 won basketball, football, netball and only stumbled in the volleyball.
Meanwhile our Year 5/6 team had a clean sweep in every sport…. and are Central Cup Champions!!!!!!

Thanks to our Seniors, who put on a fantastic lunchtime bbq today. Such a beautiful day to enjoy it in the sunshine 😃😃😃😃 Thanks to all of you who donated to our camp fund as well.👍

Today we had our Dipton School Triathlon. Once again our kids were absolutely superb, in both their attitude and performance. Thanks to ‘Home and School’ for a great barbecue and to our parent helpers and spectators for your great support.

These awesome athletes competed strongly at yesterday’s Central Zone Athletics at CSC. From this team we had 4 event champions, and many other top 3 finishes. Atleast 6 students will go on to represent our zone at the Southland Championships in Invercargill on 21st March.

Our 4 champions (1st) are…

Zoe Bongngat 1st Discus
Jack Health 1st 800m
Caitlin Heath 1st 1500m
Harriet English 1st High Jump, and 1st 800m

Dipton Jubilee Committee Meeting

The Dipton Jubilee Committee and surrounding Districts are celebrating 150 years, late 2027, with the celebration taking place at Waitangi Weekend 2028.

There will be a meeting at Dipton School, Room 238, Wednesday 4th March, 7pm.

Below is the proposed agenda:

1. Financials update.

2. Hire equipment – Ideas on requirements and sources.

3. Using the old School Dental Clinic as a Jubilee storage space.

4. Historical photos, storage, framing and permanent display area.
