P-J is passionate about the firs

t 1000 days from conception and the wellbeing of parent and baby and believes her alternative and holistic practices are a preventative measure towards PNA, PND and PTSD. She understands the ups and downs of being pregnant and also the challenges as a newborn parent, how this can affect them emotionally, mentally, physically, spiritually, and how important it is for the parent to rest and heal whilst getting to know their newborn. Those first 42 days after birth sets the pavestone for the next 42 years!!!! P-J's practices are run term by term either online or in-person, so ensure you look up the events on the page to see what is happening or pm me if you can’t find anything. Planning ahead is vital as there are limited spaces for each class. Pregnancy and Postnatal yoga classes - no experience is needed as these classes are specifically run to support the pregnant and postpartum body. Pregnancy is one of the biggest transformations a parent can go through. Support and guidance is necessary. Enrolling into a weekly pregnancy yoga class will help to support you on your journey into parent hood, the birthing journey and beyond for mind, body and spirit. Partner Yoga sessions - in-person - a wonderful way for parents to connect, honoring this time, connecting with baby, whilst giving a role to the partner to help support the mama as they lead up to the impending birth. These yoga poses can be used in the birthing journey and beyond. Infant Massage and gentle yoga movement classes - a 5 week IAIM infant massage programme, now run in over 100 countries - learning about baby's behavioural states and cues, promoting the bond and connection through the art of infant massage. Once we understand babies behavioural states and cues then we can begin to include a massage which will help to release tension and promote health and wellbeing for mind, body and spirit. Babies thrive on physical connection. Skin to skin is a wonderful way for babies to help self regulate. Come and join in on a community class. If you work in maternal and infant mental health why not become a Certified Infant Massage Instructor yourself by attending a 4-Day IAIM NZ Training - visit www.infantmassagenewzealand.org for more information. Postnatal and Baby Yoga classes - a great lead on from from the infant massage class to bring balance to both for mind, body and spirit. Ayurvedic and Traditional Moroccan Postpartum Doula support and Birthing Doula support is available. Re-igniting the digestive fire to provide optimal balance from the birthing journey. Helping to nurture and nourish the parent so they can nurture and nourish their baby. For more about this PM me. Holistic Life Coaching is also available - staying true to yourself - be the authentic you - for you are fearfully and wonderfully made - be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

🧠✨ What happens when your baby’s brain “lights up” through connection?

Every time your baby looks at you, moves, makes a sound or gives you a little cue - and you notice and respond - something important is happening.

Their developing brain is building and strengthening connections.

Through these beautiful back-and-forth moments, baby begins to learn:

💛 I am safe.
💛 I am heard.
💛 My communication matters.
💛 Someone responds to me.

These early experiences help lay foundations for communication, emotional wellbeing, relationships and learning.

And this is one of the beautiful things about infant massage.

It gives us time to slow down, notice, wait, respond and connect.

Your baby doesn’t need something to be wrong.

Connection itself is doing something wonderful. 💛

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the DHS Ball such a special experience for Coleman and Angela. It really does take a village - and we are so grateful for ours. ❤️

To Adam and Mandy, who brought out their beautiful Ford Galaxie 500 XL, picked up Coleman and then Angela, chauffeured them to the Lighthouse for photos and delivered them to the Ball in style - thank you.

And to George, who helped organise this right back when Coleman attended his very first Ball, and to the family who didn’t even know Coleman then but have continued to support him over the years - your kindness means more than you know.

To Jo and the team at DHS, thank you for giving Coleman and Angela the space, trust and independence to attend the Ball and enjoy their evening.

And then there was the outfit!

To everyone who bought Coleman’s beeswax wraps and helped him save enough to purchase his very own Warblers jacket - thank you.

And to Tre, who completed the look with a very stylish Sebastian-inspired haircut. If you know Coleman, you’ll understand exactly why this was the outfit! He is still hopeful that one day DHS might start a Glee Club… just planting that little seed. 😄

He has one more school Ball to go in 2027. Goodness knows what he has planned for the grand finale!

Having a child with special or additional needs invites you to see the world through a different lens. There are challenges, but there are also extraordinary moments of kindness, connection and community.

Much of my own life and work is spent supporting others - as a mum, caregiver, doula, prenatal and postnatal yoga teacher, infant massage instructor, baby yoga teacher and life coach. And it is lovely to be supported too.

Sometimes we all need someone to quietly say, “We’ve got you.”

And if you are beginning your own journey with a wee baby or child with a diagnosis or additional needs, please reach out. You don’t have to have all the answers.

Infant massage can also be one beautiful tool in your kete - a beautiful way to slow down, connect, support relaxation and create moments of peace together.

Feeling a little tired, touched-out, or like you’ve been giving to everyone else? 🌱🌻

Tomorrow morning, Wellspring of Motherhood is simply a place to come as you are.

The heaters will be on, the kettle will be ready, and there’ll be something nourishing waiting too.

Come and pause for a little while.
Learn a little infant massage.
Gently stretch your body.
Perhaps get creative.
Sit with a warm cuppa.
Let someone else hold the space while you fill your own cup.

You don’t need to have been before.
You don’t need to know anyone.
You don’t need to arrive feeling organised.

Just come as you are.

🌿 Come join me… 🌿

Sometimes the hardest part of trying something new is simply walking through the door.

So tomorrow morning (Tuesday), Wellspring of Motherhood is open again - a space for mamas and pēpi to pause, breathe, connect and be nourished too.

Come as you are.

🌻 Come if you’re tired.
🌻Come if pēpi hasn’t slept.
🌻Come with your older children.
🌻Come even if you don’t quite know what you need right now.

There may be some infant massage with pēpi, simple yoga movements to help release the tension that comes from carrying and caring, a little time to breathe and settle through meditation, a warm cuppa and something nourishing to eat.

Nothing is compulsory.
Everything is an invitation. 💛

🕙 Tuesday's | 10am–12noon (until September 15th)

If you have a couple of adult-sized towels, bring them along - I’ll have the massage oil here.

And if another mama comes to mind while you’re reading this, send this to her and simply say:

“The door is open… come in and join me" 💛

Sometimes that little invitation is all someone needs.

A place to pause, nourish and reconnect.

“Perhaps love begins with noticing” 🌱🌻

Noticing what catches your baby’s attention.
The sound that makes them turn their head.
The expression that brings a smile.
The moment their body relaxes.
The pause that tells you they have had enough.

When I read the words, “I notice you,” I think about the joy I felt massaging my own babies.

Infant massage gave me time to stop and simply be with them.

To watch.
To listen.
To learn their language.
To delight in the way they were discovering the world.

And through repetition, something beautiful began to grow.

The familiar sound of my voice.
The familiar rhythm of asking permission.
The familiar warmth of my hands.
The familiar pauses where I waited for their response.

Repeated experiences help a baby begin to recognise, anticipate and trust what comes next. Over time, these moments can support communication, connection and a growing sense of safety.

Infant massage is not simply about learning strokes.

It is about learning to notice your baby - and helping your baby experience the beautiful message:

I see you.
I hear you.
I am here with you.
You matter to me.

Would you love to learn how to massage your baby and create more moments of connection together?

🌻 Only 6 weeks to go!

Soon I will be welcoming another beautiful group into the September Online IAIM Infant Massage Instructor Training.

Over four Fridays, we will learn, connect and travel this journey together - preparing each student to empower parents and support stronger connection between babies and their whānau.

A few training spaces are still available. Perhaps this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.

I will also be looking for parents and babies to join us for three free online baby massage classes on:

📅 11, 18 and 25 September 2026

Interested in attending? Reach out to me directly or leave a message below.

Imagine a world where every pēpi experiences nurturing touch - not just once, but repeatedly, day after day - and every parent or caregiver is supported to learn this beautiful art.

It is through repetition that pēpi begin to recognise what is safe and familiar. The same loving hands, the same soothing voice, the same respectful pause for permission. Over time, these repeated moments help build trust, strengthen connection and support a growing sense of security.

Infant massage is not a passing trend. It is an ancient tradition, shared across generations, that honours the relationship between parent, caregiver and pēpi.

Each loving interaction sends an important message:

You are safe.
You are seen.
You are valued.
You belong.

These experiences help support a pēpi’s physical, emotional and social wellbeing, while creating strong foundations for attachment, communication, regulation and healthy development.

This is why nurturing touch matters - not only in the moment, but throughout a child’s growth and wellbeing.

Please help spread the word, beautiful people. If you have experienced attending a five-week infant massage class, share this with a new or expectant parent who may love the opportunity too.

🌿 Coming this August - The Wellspring of Motherhood

A new seven-session wellbeing circle supporting women through pre-pregnancy, pregnancy, postpartum and the changing seasons of motherhood.

Motherhood is a profound transformation. It can bring love and wonder, but also times when we feel stretched, depleted or disconnected from ourselves.

Our bodies have an incredible way of whispering what they need - rest, nourishment, movement, expression, connection or support. When we slow down and listen, the transformation can be profound.

The Wellspring offers a place to pause, replenish and reconnect - with yourself, your baby or child, and the life unfolding around you.

Across the seven sessions, we will explore:

🌱 Nourishment and energy
🌱 Yoga-inspired movement and breathing
🌱 Emotional wellbeing and mindset
🌱 Preparing for birth and postpartum
🌱 Building your support village
🌱 Baby communication and infant massage
🌱 Creativity, reflection and spiritual renewal

Parents and caregivers of babies and children with special or additional needs are warmly welcomed.

A place to feel:

🌻 Seen in your experience
🌻 Heard without judgement
🌻 Held through the difficult days
🌻 Supported as you discover what works for you and your child

There is space for feeding, movement, medical and sensory needs, laughter, tears, rest and pauses.

Come as you are. You and your pēpi/child are welcome exactly as you are.

📅 Tuesdays, 4 August–15 September 2026
⏰ Two-hour morning sessions
📍 St Peter’s Anglican Church Hall, Te Kōpuru

A pause before you pick baby up.

A smile when their eyes meet yours.

A familiar voice.

A hand resting close.

A moment where you stop, notice and respond.

Babies are learning about the world through these repeated experiences.

Am I safe?
Will someone notice me?
Can I trust what happens next?

Connection grows in the everyday.

This is one of the things I love most about infant massage.

It gives us permission to slow down, to be present and to spend time simply being with our baby.

Not rushing.

Not fixing.

Just noticing, listening and connecting.

Because beautiful beginnings are often built in the smallest moments.🌱🌻
