THE IMPORTANCE OF SONGS AND RHYMES 🎵.

Nursery rhymes are a happy and bonding activity to do with your children, from tiny babies to pre-schoolers. Songs and rhymes help develop language and listening skills, improves memory and teaches creativity and imagination, all of which are essential to learning. It enables children, as they get older, to complete a rhyming sentence and to sing independently. When singing to your child or reciting a nursery rhyme, be animated and don’t worry if you sing out of tune🤭 especially to littlies as your voice is comforting and their favourite sound♥️. If you have a prop, for example a stuffed sheep for singing ‘Mary had a little lamb’ (this will make the song come alive and your interaction with your child more fun.) So go and grab a Nursery Rhymes book, and make it part of your everyday routine ;You will be surprised at how many you still remember! Also sing along with your children to their favourite songs!🥁🎼🎵

Situation Vacant: Cleaner required

Today the Adventurers and others headed to Arthur’s Cinema to watch five short videos. It was all very exciting and they all had different favourites. Special thanks to PKay for organising the movies and for giving them all posters, a key ring and a sticker. Also thanks to Dayrel, Sarah, Ali & Candace for coming with us. We are so fortunate to have such a cool wee cinema in our town.
