After 28 and a half years of dedicated service, we farewell Mr Gerry Davidson as he begins his well-earned retirement. Nearly three decades of quiet strength, loyalty, and belief in the values of our college have left a legacy that will be felt for years to come. Gerry has been much more than a staff member — he’s been a steady, familiar presence.
Thank you, Mr Davidson for your dedication, humour and humility. You’ve shaped this place in more ways than you know. ❤️🖤
Thanks to everyone who came along to our Quiz Night! With your support, we raised over $7,000, all going straight back into supporting our boys.
Big congrats to our winning team, “Is This Worth Any Credits?” – clearly a force to be reckoned with!
Huge thanks to our generous sponsors for donating incredible raffle and auction prizes... we’re so grateful for your support.

Checkmate! Our St Bede’s Chess Team competed in the Canterbury Chess Championships yesterday and made a smart move up the leaderboard, finishing 3rd overall, improving on last year’s results.
Well played, lads. Turns out thinking several moves ahead really does pay off!
Could You Be a Homestay Host? We’re looking for families to host international students visiting for short-term stays throughout the year.
Being a homestay host is a rewarding experience - a chance to share our Kiwi hospitality, connect with other cultures, and make a real difference in a young person’s journey. You’ll also be remunerated for your time and generosity.
If your family would be interested in opening your home to an international student, we’d love to hear from you.
For more information or to express your interest, please contact Ruth at [email protected].

The creativity, talent, and hard work of our students shone brightly over the weekend with two incredible results:
The Haizys rocked the stage and claimed 2nd place in their regional heat! Now they are in for a showdown with the other regional winners for a coveted spot in the National Final.
Meanwhile, the Bedean Choir hit all the right notes at The Big Sing – and for the second year in a row, they walked away with the award for Best Lower Voice Choir!
We're proud of our performers and their dedication to the arts – what a weekend to be a Bedean! ❤️🖤
