MASH was founded in 2012 by Craig Fortune, a registered teacher with 10 years experience in the classroom and four young children (now 5!). The skills that he brings ensure that the programmes planned for your children are appropriate for their age, ability and of course are fun and exciting.
Here at MASH, our aim every day, is to provide your children with a fun, stimulating, exciting and safe environment where they are not only well supervised, but are also given the opportunity to enhance their academic, artistic and physical skills.
Our Pioneer Stadium Programme is based upstairs in the Lounge Room at Pioneer Stadium, 75 Lyttelton Street, Spreydon, Christchurch.
This large, open plan room is inside the stadium with access to a full kitchen. Also for use is Pioneer Swimming pool with a wave pool and lazy river, the indoor gymnasium, a large field, a large playground and a beach volleyball court!
Holiday Programmes:
We recognise that the holidays are a break away from school for the children and a great time for them to be exposed to new and exciting experiences. So that's what we do! All MASH Holiday Programmes offer three structured activities per day (morning, afternoon and 3-6pm), so there is plenty to keep your child/ren busy, stimulated and smiling.
Afterschool Care:
Our afterschool programme has semi-structure to the afternoon. Children arrive just after 3pm, and then have afternoon tea – a time for coming together and eating and interacting politely and respectfully. Then we offer homework assistance. For those kids who don’t have homework, there is actively supervised ‘free play’ time. Around 4pm, we gather together and staff introduce the planned activity, which usually runs until around 5pm. We aim to provide a mix of activities, including baking, crafts, group games, and making the most of our space by using the playground and field.
Before School Care:
Our before school programme offers support for families needing a earlier drop off. Our before school programmes consist of free time using the resources the programme has on site such as board games, lego, toy cars, dollshouse, playdough etc. Breakfast is not provided but you are welcome to send your child/ren with it to eat during programme.

We offer pick ups and drop offs to the following schools:
Hoon Hay School (van)
Somerfield School (van)
Our Lady of Assumption (van)
West Spreydon School (walking bus)
