Tomorrow we're off exploring Bottle Lake Forest with other Playcentres from around ลtautahi, so our centre will be closed for the day.

This week, we're celebrating and thanking the incredible volunteers who make our Playcentre community possible.
At Playcentre, our whฤnau are at the heart of everything we do. From helping during sessions, maintaining our centre, organising fundraisers, serving on the committee, planning activities, and supporting one another โ every contribution, big or small, helps our centre thrive.

This week at Woolston Playcentre weโll be celebrating Samoan Language Week through songs, dancing, stories, crafts, and more. Weโre also excited to learn some Samoan words and sayings with the help of our wonderful Samoan Centre members. โค๏ธ

In preparation for Matariki, this week we explored Ururangi โ the star connected with the winds. ๐ฌ๏ธ
We were lucky enough to have one of our whฤnau members bring along their wind machine for the tamariki to experiment with. Tamariki tested different objects to see what would float, spin, and blow around in the wind โ lots of curiosity, predicting, and discovering together.
There were also plenty of paper plane creations soaring through the air, playdough making and shaped, and a big box house built out on the deck for imaginative play.
So much learning through play, creating, experimenting, and working together. ๐
