We have a new page! Science Alive NZ
As you all know, we have been around for a long time with many different social channels. With that comes a whole lot of tech complications, and unfortunately we cannot access this page with the control we would like - So, at the risk of losing a bunch of our loyal followers, we have had to make the tough decision to make a new page.
We promise this is really us, and our account has not been taken over! 🙏 You might see a few things changing as we transfer everything over to our brand new page.
We would love if you all could give our new page Science Alive NZ a like and follow so you can keep up to date with all the amazing things we have coming up very soon 🤩
See you all over there

We're committed to sparking hope, excitement and curiosity for future innovators. By creating opportunities for discovery, we encourage learners of all ages to pursue their interests and develop a lifelong love of learning. So how have we done this so far?
By making our education portal free for all schools across Aotearoa, we have brought science, technology and innovation to the classroom, making opportunities to engage in STEM that much more accessible.
Learning isn't just for schools - our new website hosts events and articles for the general public to make sure that our communities are connecting with the opportunities around them to continue learning new things, no matter who, where, or how.
Our partnerships with organisations, like Science Roadshow and MOTAT, have allowed us to collaborate on projects that provide hands-on learning opportunities for a range of tamariki to spark their curiosity about STEM in a fun, meaningful way.
Find out more about our story on our website https://hubs.ly/Q02G8pK60 - We can't wait to keep working towards our mission to nurture a love for learning in everyone.

If you’re a Cantabrian, you probably hear the name Science Alive and think of all the fun, treasured experiences you had at our centre on Moorhouse Ave. You may wonder, where are they now? After the loss of our centre in the Christchurch Quakes, despite our efforts, we just couldn't rebuild the magic of what we lost in that beloved space.
So what have we been up to since? Our mission has always been to spark curiosity and make science accessible for everyone, everywhere, everyday. We pivoted to outreach programs, visited schools and communities, and inspired the public with hands-on science experiences. We also produced numerous interactive exhibits for museums, science centres, and organisations worldwide, ensuring that the spark of curiosity ignited in Christchurch continued to burn globally. Even closer to our heart, we have spent the past 4 years dedicated to developing free digital resources, creating impact in the areas of STEM and really sparking curiosity in classrooms all around Aotearoa.
Now, as we continue to embrace the opportunities of the digital age, we are thrilled to be moving beyond the classroom and into the wider community. This shift allows us to make science and technology accessible to all! While we may no longer have the vertical slide, we promise just as much fun and excitement through our website.
We are so excited to share our growth with you all, as we bring the wonders of science to your fingertips and inspire the next generation of trailblazers.
Check out our brand new website, www.sciencealive.co.nz and join us on our journey as we continue to empower tomorrow’s innovators.
