On Friday, our school came together to mark a very special occasion - Philippines Independence Day, a day that holds deep meaning for our Filipino students, staff, and whฤnau. There was a flag-raising ceremony and shared lunch, with staff and students wearing the traditional outfits. Please enjoy the pictures below.

Bishop Michael is praying a Novena to St Carlo Acutis for the building of our new Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament. A Cathedral named for the Eucharist Carlo loved so much. You are invited to join Bishop in prayer as we prepare to receive the relic of St Carlo into our diocese.

Sharing this lovely post regarding our good friend Fr Michael Pui's meeting with Pope Leo XIV.
Fr Michael Pui, the national director of MissioNZ (the Pontifical Mission Societies in New Zealand), met Pope Leo in Rome this week. He thought it was fitting to bring the Pope a gift; Fr Michael gave the Holy Father an All Blacks cap ๐๐งข (New Zealand Rugby)
He also reiterated the invitation for Pope Leo to visit us in New Zealand. This year marks 40 years since our only papal visit!
And while we're talking anniversaries, this year marks the 100th year of celebrating Mission Sunday globally!! Stay tuned for more on that commemoration in October.

Well that's a wrap! The 2026 Corpus Christi Feast Day was a day of celebration, community spirit, and friendly competition. More photos will be shared across our social media and in our upcoming newsletter.
For now, enjoy these vibrant moments from our House Singing Competition - four beautiful renditions of the hฤซmene.
A big thankโyou to our judges - Mark Currie, Hannah Thomas, and our own Tumuaki, Ms Nanai - for taking on the challenging job of scoring each house.

Today we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi where we reflect on the profound gift of the Eucharist. For our College, today will be a day of joy, reflection, and celebration as we join together for our Feast Day Mass. The Blessing of our new building adds an extra reason to rejoice, and we look forward to the much anticipated House Singing competition. Look out for photos from the day across our social media and newsletter in due course.
