I screwed up this brochure because it’s literally a modern-day crisis

Let’s start with the misleading title… which sounds like weight training, it also sounds like progressive overload and balance to prevent falls.

“Lift for longer, strength and balance”, perfect right?

There isn’t one strength class inside, just miseducated cover-ups like yoga, line dancing and Pilates.

And to be clear, I’m not saying those things don’t have a place because they can be a great supplement to strength training (but never a replacement).

Proactive adults know that they need to:

- Strength train with progressive overload 2x a week
- Stay moving by getting their steps in
- Eat the right things because they understand what their body needs

Instead, most have been taught that filling the gaps with classes will suffice rather than being shown that they can actually get stronger.

There will never be another generation of 50+ as ill-prepared for their golden years, as this current generation.

That’s because of the natural assumption that “lifting weights is dangerous” or the fact that “it’s too difficult to learn”.

F*CK that… I know that so many people could have been in a better place if they’d simply known what was best for them, real strength training

Because no matter what your situation is, you’re more than likely capable of some form of resistance training

Assuming your age means ‘you can’t train with resistance’, right…

Remember, that we’re actually more capable than we’ve been led to believe

Recently, someone asked me if my clients get good transformations…

I said I’m not in the transformation business and kind of brushed off my clients results…

Immediately regretted that after 🤧

I understand from my work in the community that adults aged 45-65 NEED muscle more than ever! My mission is to help adults in Christchurch achieve life-changing strength results by building muscle that helps you to remain healthy and resilient for years to come.

So when it comes to spending valuable time with family, working long hours on your feet or heading on holiday, you can trust your body won’t be holding you back.

I’m looking to help 10 adults cut the s**t and build muscle with functional strength. Functional meaning it’ll apply to everyday life, chasing the kids, keeping up with what you love.

This is my passion so I want to show you exactly how developing movement skills can transfer to all stages of life… despite common misconceptions that ‘weights’ aren’t for everyone.

Literally everyday, I show people how to surpass their own expectations

And I’d like to invite you down to Apollo Fitness for a free 90-minute Personal Training session 🙂

If you want the full details, comment “YES” on this post and I’ll reach out!

I’ll be closing this offer next Sunday (27th September) ⏰

Most people keep putting their hand in the sand but the sooner a greater amount of the kiwi population admits this, the better

It doesn’t matter who you are, or what you are going through, strength training should be a number #1 priority.

At one stage in our lives, we’ve all had something come up.

Work, sickness, injury, it happens!

Ultimately, it’s how we react to these situations that actually defines how the situation affects us.

Typically we resort to quick fixes, more rest and the band-aids that make us feel most comfortable quickly.

We never truely consider that the small and quick fixes are doing more long-term harm than good.

The injury that won’t heal? Voltaren might reduce the pain but it’ll bounce back worse.

Work stress that doesn’t end? At some point the drink on the weekend won’t suffice.

Disease or illness that keeps setting you back? One day that set back will be hospital bed…

Outcome: Pre-existing injuries and pain, poor weekly habits, a body that doesn’t have the strength to continue anymore

Here’s the solution: Injury-management and reduced pain, habits that complement your future-self, a body with the strength for no matter what is to come.

You choose your outcome.

I just onboarded the recent comp winner…

Most importantly, we both understand the journey that is about to take place 🙌

There are so many people out there dealing with different issues

The #1 priority you can actually control isn’t any of the quick fixes society feeds you

Orthotics, medications, weird clothing or the newest gadgets are band-aids.

The real priority is strength training for long-term health.

Here’s what we put in place from Day One:

- Strength training (twice a week)
- A plan with a big fu***ng goal (don’t lose sight of the goal)
- The first and next step to get immediate results (what do I need to do next to get immediate wins)

The hardest part is getting started but we made it simple today, and you can too

Today was such a feel good moment holding the lump in my throat 😂

I’m ready for a strong finish to 2026 💪
