We had such a great time during the holiday workshops this week! They learnt so much in just three days and got to perform to their families in the fabulously versatile Gloucester Room.

Our youngest group took part in the Battle of the Seasons, where the different seasons learnt that everyone is needed for a balanced and wonderful year. Our 9-11yr old students investigated three stories from Egyptian, Norse, and Greek mythology. Puppetry was explored by the 12+ students, who explored the circle of life through the character of Boxman.

We can't wait to be back at the Isaac Theatre Royal for the July school holiday workshops. Keep an eye out for when it's announced, or get in touch to trial at our regular weekly classes. Be Bold! Create! Perform!

On October 1st, Canvas Bag Drama School took a next step in its history. After almost 30 years of running the drama school Felicity Williams decided it was time to pass on the leadership of the school to Harry Lawrence, co-founder of Hwyl Theatre. Harry has been tutoring at the school for multiple years and shares Felicity's passion and pedagogy for drama and performance. Felicity will stay at the school in the new role of Patron so her wisdom and expertise in drama will continue to be passed on to the next generation of performers.

The whole team at Canvas Bag Drama School are excited for all the new projects and adventures ahead of us.
