🌼Beautiful wall displays and engaging activities, full of imagination, are daily reminders of how much fun we have in the Pūkeko room! Our wonderful kaiako love to plan and theme our weeks or celebrations, meaning our tamariki get so much art, creativity, and movement based games that revisit the books, games, and holidays we love to explore! 🌼

🍕Today as part of the holiday programme we made pizza!! The Pūkeko tamariki were all pretty keen to make their own individual pizzas as this meant they got to choose the to the toppings they liked best. Mushrooms, corn, cheese, pineapple and tomato were on the menu today. Everyone got to smear the tomato sauce on first and then sprinkle on their choices. Some children chose to add everything. While others went very minimal! The overall consensus after lunch was that their pizza's were "good". Over in the Tūī room, we had a group pizza building activity going on, with everyone getting a chance to take turns adding to the big pizzas!🍕

✨️Introducing our amazing centre manager Ginni!✨️
Kia ora,Namaste, I am Ginni!
I’m originally from India and moved to Aotearoa in 2016 with my husband and my son. I have been teaching since I was 19 and taught across secondary, primary, and early childhood, but honestly, ECE has my whole heart. There’s something really special about being with young children every single day. The smiles, the cuddles, the little moments , they never get old. My favourite parts of the day are group times with the Pūkeko room and care moments with the Tui's and Tiny's. Those moments just make everything worthwhile.I feel really lucky to lead such an amazing multicultural team. The passion and dedication they bring every day genuinely moves me, and I don’t take that for granted.🧡

✨️Introducing Sharon! Our Pūkeko room team leader and Kea, school readiness room, extraordinaire!
"Hi, my name is Sharon, I've worked in marketing, primary teaching, and for the last 15 years, in early childhood. My special area of interest is preparing tamariki for school. I love working with small groups, having fun with literacy and numeracy. When I'm not at preschool, you can find me in the garden, planning an overseas adventure or out walking our dog".✨️
