"Me tatau pounamu, kia kore ai e pakaru, ake, ake."
We have been keeping a close eye on international news in recent weeks. To our relief, our friends at the Zayed Sustainability Prize are safe and continuing their inspiring work in the United Arab Emirates.
As a māra kaupapa, our partnership with the prize has an undeniable connection to the realm of Roko. In the face of uncertainty and brute force, Roko shows us another way. He is a sacred spring - and out of this spring come the waters of listening, sensing, peace, growth and abundance. These waters flow to the tatau pounamu. They flow through us on their way there, saturating our hearts. Steeped in the waters of Roko, we take on the strength of pounamu, we become unstoppable together.
With the support of the Zayed Sustainability Prize, the spring of Roko is soaking deeper into our Pā. In recent weeks we harvested kai atua by the tonne. Our tamariki are experiencing the waters of Roko first hand. These are just early fruits of the Prize project, the true impacts of which will be fully revealed in the years to come.
E hoa mā, may we remind you that the door is still open for kura to submit a vision to the Prize. The website is below. It is open until June 22nd for this year’s intake. If anyone wants to discuss with us, please reach out, we are ready to tautoko.
