Help a UC Master's Student with their research!💚

"Kia ora! I'm a Christchurch local and a master’s student at the University of Canterbury. My research is about social enterprises in Aotearoa New Zealand, and I’m interested in situations where a social enterprise’s actions seem to veer away from its mission. Whether you have experienced something like that, have simply wondered about it or just want to share your thoughts on social enterprises, I’d love to hear from you.

Social enterprises are organisations with a community purpose at heart and use their profits to achieve that purpose. This can be social, environmental, or cultural purpose.

Your participation will help grow the academic understanding about consumer behaviour, which may help social enterprises improve their communication and governance capabilities.

This study is open to participants who have purchased from a social enterprise, are aged 18+, based in Christchurch, and are available for a 45-60 minute in-person conversation. Full eligibility details are in the attached poster.

This study has been approved by the University of Canterbury Human Research Ethics Committee, and everything you share will be confidential and secure.

Become a Stormwater Superhero Facilitator!

Passionate about the environment and love chatting with your community? We’re on the lookout for friendly, confident people to help run our Stormwater Superhero Trailer, a fun, hands-on way to show how stormwater pollution affects our waterways and what we can do about it.

✨ What you’ll be doing:
- Supporting set-up and facilitation at community events
- Using interactive games to spark learning and kōrero
- Encouraging positive behaviour change
- Inspiring people to protect our awa and native species

🌟 What’s in it for you?
- Paid, reliable work
- Hands-on environmental and community engagement experience
- Collaboration with groups and events
- Flexible commitment (weekends + weekdays, ~17 events a year)
