Volunteers sought for a school holiday programme from 28 September to 10 October 2026 - Auckland:

Aim High Charitable Trust is a registered charity based in Northcote, Auckland.

It provides education, day services, holiday programmes and vocational training for children and adults with disabilities.

It is recruiting volunteers for its school holiday programme from 28 September to 10 October 2026, Monday to Saturday, 9:30am to 3:00pm.

Volunteers will provide 1:1 support to participants with disabilities, including autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, ADHD and Down syndrome. Support includes assisting with activities, communication, behaviour and safety.

This is particularly suitable for students studying social work, support work, education, psychology, health, disability or related subjects. This will be a great opportunity for them to gain hands-on experience supporting people with disabilities and working directly with individual support needs.

No previous experience is required and volunteers can select the dates they are available.

A mandatory training seminar covering health and safety, disability awareness, behavioural support and 1:1 support will be held before the programme.

Volunteers sought for Massey University’s Albany Campus - The New Zealand Linguistics Olympiad (NZLO):

The NZLO 2026 National Final will be held on Saturday, 12 September 2026 at Massey University, Albany Campus.

Volunteer details:

Saturday, 12 September 2026 from 09:00 am - 4.00 pm in Massey University, Albany Campus – Room IC1.07.

Up to four university student volunteer positions are currently available.

Volunteers may assist with:

> Student registration and attendance checking
> Wayfinding and participant support
> Examination-room and event setup support
> Guest and speaker liaison
> Team challenge and presentation coordination
> Basic AV, photography/content or general event operations.

Students from all areas of study are welcome to apply. Interest or experience in linguistics, languages, education, events, student support, photography or communication would be helpful but is not required.

Each volunteer will receive an official NZLO Volunteer Certificate confirming their role and completed service hours. They will also gain practical experience supporting a national academic event, and strong volunteers may be invited to assist with future NZLO programmes.

Our 12-week paid Summer Internship Programme is an opportunity to put your knowledge and skills into action in a range of areas across Te Puni Kōkiri.

Individuals of all backgrounds, cultures, and experiences are invited to apply.

We value the different strengths, skills and viewpoints that a diverse workforce brings to the delivery of our purpose of drawing strength from our past to build an Aotearoa New Zealand where whānau can all stand, thrive and belong.

Successful interns will begin their placement on 30 Noema 2026 | 30 November 2026 and finish on 19 Pēpuere 2027 | 19 February 2027.
