As they roll, squeeze, shape and decorate, they're developing fine motor strength, creativity, problem-solving skills and confidence—all while having fun.

🔧🚲 Little Helpers, Big Learning! 🚲🔧

There was important work happening in our outdoor area last week as Lou repaired the children's running bikes, and, of course, our curious learners were eager to lend a hand!

Armed with real tools and plenty of enthusiasm, the children watched closely, asked thoughtful questions, and helped tighten bolts and hold parts while learning how the bikes work.

Experiences like these help children develop so much more than practical skills. They encourage:

🚂 Learning is right on track at Kidditech!

Playing with trains and train sets is lots of fun, but it also supports so much learning. As children build tracks, connect carriages and create their own journeys, they are developing:

🔢 Counting, sequencing and early maths skills

Train play also encourages children to test ideas, make changes and keep trying when the track doesn’t quite fit. All while having fun with friends and bringing their imaginative worlds to life!

🍚 Busy Parent Dinner Idea – Chicken & Veggie Fried Rice

Need a quick, nutritious meal that's ready in under 20 minutes?

Ingredients:
500g chicken mince
3 cups cooked rice
2 cups frozen mixed vegetables
2 eggs
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp sesame oil (optional)
Spring onions to serve

Method:
Cook the chicken mince in a large frying pan until browned.
Add garlic and frozen vegetables. Cook for 3–4 minutes.
Push everything to one side, scramble the eggs, then mix through.
Add the cooked rice, soy sauce and sesame oil. Stir-fry for 3–5 minutes until heated through.
Top with sliced spring onions or chopped nuts and serve.

💡 Parent Tip: Make a double batch and freeze portions for those extra-busy evenings! A delicious way to get vegies into kids.

Through our project work, the children will investigate concepts from physics, biology, meteorology, chemistry and more. With hands-on experiments, observations, questions and discoveries, we’ll be encouraging curiosity and helping our young scientists make sense of how the world works. 🌦️🧪🌱
