Hi, Nikki here the founder of ‘Art At Sumner Hub’. I just wanted to say a huge thankyou to all that have attended classes and workshops with me over the last five years. When I left my art teaching job I wasn’t sure how things would work out . With the support of the Sumner Community Residents' Association & Hub and the community things have worked out just fine! It’s now however time for a new venture for me. I’m moving my business nikki wb ceramics and Art at Sumner Hub to new premises. Climate Action Campus, Ōtautahi (old Avonside Girls School site), will be my new home from the beginning of Feburary.
Although I’m sad to be leaving the hub , I have so many memories to treasure of those that have attended. Kids and adults , that I hope to still keep in touch with. I’m very excited about the move and know that Emily Florence Quane Artist will continue to serve you all from the Sumner Hub. She has rebranded and will be operating using her new name ‘The Art Hub’, and not ‘Art at Sumner Hub’.
If you are still keen to come to classes and workshops with me head over to my website to see what’s on offer for Term 1. There are only a few spots left but there will be plenty of opportunity to attend in Term 2,3 and 4 plus some additional new projects to join in with!
Bye for now ♥️

The amazing Emily Florence Quane Artist, will now be the sole art teacher at the hub. Emily will be operating her business with a fresh new name and logo ‘The Art Hub'. It's a fun new look! She will still be running after school art and craft classes that you've always known and loved. at the same place, Sumner Community Residents' Association & Hub
Thank you for your continued support as these changes happen—Emily can’t wait to share her new business with you! 💖

What a lovely art class we had today learning to draw with scissors!! No pencils were allowed. We created collages based on the natural form shapes in Angie Lewin’s art prints. The children then had to imagine they were inside their picture and write a story about what they would see, hear and feel. Take a look at the fantastic results below:
