Barral Institute NZ is dedicated to the education and training of Visceral and Nerve Manipulation

Barral Institute New Zealand is affiliated to the Barral Institute Inc. based in Florida, USA which has been offering continuing quality education for the Manual therapy field since 1985. The courses we provide are based on the innovative work of French Osteopath, Jean Pierre Barral – Visceral Manipulation , Neural Manipulation and related Manual Therapies. Specifically designed for manual therapists alumni include osteopaths, physiotherapists, physicians, massage therapists, chiropractors and acupuncturists. Rosie Greene, Certified Visceral Manipulation Instructor for the Barral Institute. In 2015 Rosie Greene became a Certified Visceral Manipulation Instructor for the Barral Institute, and now teaches in New Zealand, Australia and internationally. Rosie is the eternal student herself, whilst now also greatly enjoying using her teaching skills to open the door to the world of visceral manipulation for an increasing number of practitioners. Rosie has been in private clinical practice since 2002, initially as a Remedial Massage Therapist in New Zealand, after changing professional direction, from her first passion of teaching. She then continued her clinical education through courses offered through the Barral and Upledger Institutes in New Zealand, Australia and the USA, which significantly broadened her skill and interest base. These studies included training in Visceral, Vascular, Neural Manipulation and Manual Articular techniques, as well as CranioSacral Therapy. One of the benefits of New Zealand's current position, is that we are able to continue to offer courses for New Zealand participants.

We are focusing on the inguinal canal, cluneal nerves, obturator nerve, sacral plexus, sciatic nerve, superior gluteal nerve and pudendal.

The lumbar plexus, and its relationship with the kidney.
Specific techniques for the femoral nerve, saphenous nerve, lateral femoral and cutaneous nerve.

The focus is the mediastinum, in particular the ligaments of the pericardium.
