Very proud of these girls, they gave up their saturday to volunteer to help raise donations for a local charity that supports women and chikdren . Our local MP Dr Duncan Webb was also volunteering for this charity and came and talked to some of our students. They all represented the school so well and were so polite and friendly. It is great to see our international students getting involved in our community.

Kotomi goodbye part 2

Photos from Christchurch Girls' High School International's post 04/12/2023

Part 1. Last week we sadly farewelled one of our year 12 Japanese students. Kotomi has worked so hard this year and has lived our school values especially showing courage / rangitiraranga . Kotomi has been brave and tried so many new things from rock climbing, rafting, kapa haka and adventure racing. She has joined our school orchestra and performed at many school events. We got to celebrate her birthday with her, she also got to experience her first school dance, golf and skiing.she spent most weekends volunteering at the local wildlife park My highlight might be watching her give a amazing speech to 1300 students at our international week assembly. We miss you so much already but you are always welcome to come back and visit someday. Haere ra🫶
