I love long weekends, especially when they are warm and sunny.☀️💛
Attending our local community ANZAC Day service always brings a quiet kind of reflection, a reminder of sacrifice, perspective, and what truly matters.
I was 22 years old when I walked the Gallipoli beach, it was an incredibly emotional experience.
Young men buried there, many my own age or younger, now our son is that age - 22.
The rest of the weekend was spent recharging in the garden🪴, tidying up, planting🌱and getting it winter ready.
This got me thinking. 🤔
Growth whether it’s a garden, a career or a business... it doesn’t happen by accident.
It intentional.
It requires patience.
And sometimes it takes courage to pull out what’s no longer doing well to create space for something better.
I see so many people staying stuck in roles that drain them, not because they lack capability, but because they haven’t paused long enough to ask themselves what they really want.
Maybe that’s what long weekends like this are for.
Not just rest… but realignment.
A moment to pause and ask:
👉 Is what I’m building where I want to be?
I’m curious… did you get a moment to pause this weekend and contemplate that next step?

Super excited to share that I am now an Extended DISC practitioner.
Extended DISC is like a behavioral GPS, it shows your default route, but also how you adjust depending on where you are and who you’re with.
It also:
* Improves self-awareness
* Helps with communication and relationships
* Identifies workplace strengths and frustrations
* Supports career alignment and confidence
When someone comes to me feeling stressed, burnout, overwhelmed or out of alignment and unsure of their next steps, this is a tool that provides a structured framework to have the discussion that moves them forward.

I noticed a friend in Canada post this earlier on her feed and I couldn't help but think how many might benefit from me sharing this, of course with some LeaB wisdom attached!
As we deal with trauma, failed and dysfunctional relationships, grief, loss of loved ones, loss of careers and dreams, a life that hasn't met our expectations or plans, know that you have control only over YOURSELF, your thoughts and how you respond to what life throws at you.
I have a strong faith and I appreciate this isn't everyone's cup of tea (it wasn't mine either for 32 years of my life), and whilst I lean into my Christian faith, and knowing you may not, I still respect and value you! Everyone has their own journey however know that God is available to you as you deal with life's challenges. It was at my lowest point that I called out to God and surrendered my heart. Oh my goodness - there's so much freedom in that.
We all have stuff going on in our lives and as the decades pass, I've grown in wisdom finding that it's been the traumatic moments in my life that helped me realise that I only had control over ME, my thoughts and responses, my growth. Realising that I couldn't control anyone else, that was very freeing for me.
I've also learnt that what people think of me is none of my business, so guess what friends, it's none of your business what others think of you. If someone holds a grudge, feels intimidated by you, it's their stuff not yours. Let them go in love.
With social media connecting us in various ways, we may feel never good enough, compare ourselves with others, have low self esteem or get swooshed up in other people's business.
Don't compare yourself with others, be empowered and know that you are amazing and God don't make junk! Relinquish control of others and work on yourself and step into your brilliance🩷ox

Hey friends, can you help this family?
These gorgeous faces belong to young girls aged 11 and 13 who are soon to lose their beautiful mum (pictured) who has been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer😥 .
I lost my own mum at 22 so I can't imagine how it must be for girls their age, not yet mature enough to understand🩷.
If your heart is touched and you can help, please do, I know it will go towards creating memories for this family and making Naomi's last days as good as they can be. It's been a sudden diagnosis so there's much to be navigated and worked through.
The girls are the granddaughters of a good friend of mine Keryn Ashworth. This family will be incredibly grateful for the support we can give ox

Saw these words today!Stop saying "I don't know"
Replace it with "I'm figuring it out".
When you say IDK, you block your own wisdom and creativity✨
