Making the most of the sunshine ☀️ here is more outdoor fun we have had at Buttercups Preschool Huntsbury, Christchurch lately! 🥰

We enjoyed exploring loose parts play outside contently today! This allowed for tamariki to be engaged using their creativity and imagination, refine their working theories, and learn with and alongside friends within their play.

Exploration|Mana aotūroa is the key to building knowledge about our world, developing sense of self, curiosity and confidence! Today we enjoyed both the sensory experiences of the mud kitchen and ice exploration!

Starting off another week of fun and learning at Buttercups Preschool Huntsbury, Christchurch! We are loving welcoming back more tamariki this week who return from their holidays, with lots of stories to share! 🥰

Spring is here! We have been preparing our māra (garden) for the exciting new season! 🌻

It is ̄ori week! The theme for Te Wiki 2024 is ‘Ake ake ake - A Forever Language’. This week we are enjoying some new waiata, a pukapuka or two and, as always, proudly sharing our knowledge of our language!

The classroom is smelling amazing today, as we look forward to trying the focaccia bread which is in the oven! 😋

It’s Tongan Language Week, this week! The 2024 theme for Tonga Language Week is 'E tu'uloa 'a e lea faka-Tongá 'o ka lea'aki 'i 'api, siasí (lotú), mo e nofo-'a-kāingá - The Tongan Language will be sustainable when used at home, church and in the wider community.
