Busy Bees Lake Terrace

The preschool have filled their reward jar, yipee!!! So to celebrate we will be having a dress up day on wednesday 24th of June, we look forward to seeing eveyones costums.

The tamariki enjoyed a fun fire safety learning activity by pretending to sq**rt water on a painted 3D fire. With excitement and curiosity, the child aimed the water bottles at the colorful flames, learning how firefighters help put out fires. This hands-on experience encouraged imaginative play while introducing important fire safety concepts in an engaging and age-appropriate way.

SCIENCE ALERT...When you pour milk into a tray, add coloured dye and drop dishwashing liquid in, you make enchanting marble patterns that twist and turn as they are created. The children watched in amazement as the process unfolded in front of them. Naturally, there were lots of questions to follow as curiousity filled their thoughts

Painting, exploring, communicating, investigation, and imagination is how the tamariki learn as the become involved in the "Bee Curious Programme". Experiences are intentionally planned to extend and reflect the childrens individual learning goals and to support the group planning. Their curious minds are forever seeking to learn.

Friday, 15th May is pink shirt day. The day is about reducing bullying by celebrating diversity and promoting kindness and inclusion! Don't forget to join the movement and get involved by wearing pink .

🌟 MOVE IT MONDAY! 🌟

Today our kindy tamariki were busy keeping active and having fun through a range of exciting MOVE experiences!🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️ From practicing ball control with rackets and guiding balls through cones, to exploring our new training ladder (which quickly turned into a fun game of Follow the Leader! 😄), swinging high, water tipping and pouring, and so much more- there was movement, laughter, and learning everywhere.

These experiences link closely to our Healthy Heart Award ❤️ by encouraging active bodies, raising our heart rates, and helping us keep warm during these cooler days.

A simple paper clip, a paper butterfly + magnet stick = curiousity, investigation and exploration.
