Our Monster of the Month for September is... Isabelle! ⭐

Isabelle has been learning Keyboard with Monster Music since last year, and she’s absolutely smashing it!

Her tutor, Maria, says "She always shows up to her lessons on time with a bright smile, she never fails to practice, and she always has her book/music with her every week at lessons. She's such a joy to teach and her effort really shows!"

Congratulations, Isabelle! We're so proud of your hard work, dedication, and fantastic progress. Keep rocking! 🤘🎶

Our annual disco is back for 2026, louder and prouder than ever! 🕺

This is an awesome opportunity for tamariki to have an epic fun night, getting their groove on with some tunes!

This year's dress up theme is Animals - so come in your best onesie, costume or whatever else you can come up with.

Our Tutor of the Month for August is... Maria! ⭐

Maria is one of our singing and keyboard tutors, and the legend that she is, has stepped in to take over Molly’s students from next month!

She started with us this year as well and has absolutely smashed it! You’re awesome Maria - both us and all of your students are very lucky to have you on the Monster team!

Last week some of our monsters competed in the annual competition - and wow did they put on a show!

A huge shoutout to Food Fighters from St Peters School, who took out 2nd place on their night! Not only that, Tessa won the Specialist Instrument Award for her percussion playing, and Nicky and Lachie won the Top Guitarists Award too!

Huge mihi to all of our other students that played throughout the week as well - you were all amazing and we loved seeing you perform!

Our August Monster of the Month is... Ted S! 🎸

Ted only started guitar lessons with us this year, and he's already achieved something awesome - performing a Blue Book song at our recent concert!

His tutor, Alex, says Ted has been incredibly enthusiastic right from the very first lesson and is always eager to learn. Even better, he's been putting in lots of practice at home, and it's really paying off.

Congratulations, Ted! We're so proud of your hard work, dedication, and fantastic progress. Keep rocking! 🤘

Our 2026 Dad Jam is coming up soon, on the 6th of September (Father’s Day)! Take a look at these highlights from previous years ✨

It’s happening at A Rolling Stone - Live and is a chance for Dads to perform with their kids!

If you’re not performing, or not a musical Monster Music Dad, we would still love to see you there - come along to support and have a fun afternoon.

This event is open to all ages and to attend, tickets are $15 per person - performers and under 16's are free!

Our July Tutor of the Month is... Grace! 🤩

Grace is an awesome tutor who teaches Keyboard, Guitar and Ukelele, and she teaches over 80 lessons each week! Wowza!

On top of that she’s also made HEAPS of amazing extra resources her students can use, including play-along tutorials, exercises and games.

Grace is also playing guitar in a new covers band Jukebox Joyride, so make sure to keep an ear out for them!

Thanks so much Grace, you’re a legend 🫶

Our variety showcase at Fat Eddie's is on THIS SUNDAY from 2pm!

Make sure to come along to show your support to some of our coolest tamariki musos perform live on stage. This event is open to all ages, entry at $15 per person - under 16s are free!

We hope to see you there - it's going to be a fun one, showcasing some of Christchurch's most talented primary school aged performers.
