We had an awesome afternoon last Thursday celebrating 100,000 visitors to the Teece Museum of Classical Antiquities with Festa di Strada, a family-friendly Italian style street party hosted at our City Campus within The Arts Centre Te Matatiki Toi Ora! ๐
With over 300 visitors joining us to celebrate for the afternoon, the day was a huge success! We had amazing musical entertainment thanks to our Performance Music students, Kyle Hsieh and Lila Nicholson. We were joined by Base Food By Fire and Gelato Dolce Christchurch who provided our guests with some delicious Italian treats! And of course, we had the Teece Museum open for everyone to explore, as well as an awesome kids activity around the Art Centre!
Thank you to everyone who joined us and a big congratulations to our Teece team for reaching this exciting milestone ๐๐๐ถ

๐ Congratulations to UC PhD student Brittany Ogden-Travis! ๐
Brittany, who recently won the UC Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, has now made it into the Top 8 of the Asia-Pacific 3MT finals! ๐โจ
Her research, titled "Listening to Children in Aotearoa", addresses a crucial gap in understanding how we listen to children within New Zealand organizations. Brittany argues that listening is often treated as an implicit part of child participation when it should be made explicit. Through interviews with 30 professionalsโincluding policy advisors, doctors, lawyers, and advocatesโshe has developed a listening framework to improve child well-being in Aotearoa.
Let's all support Brittany as she represents UC and New Zealand! Register now to watch the Asia-Pacific 3MT finals on October 30th and cheer her on! ๐
