Today at preschool we are having a pyjama day! Look at all of our lovely tamariki with their special teddy bears and dinosaur they brought along from home! 😊

At the Rainbow Corner we love messy play!!!! Here we have Anaya and Anaysha using different materials and paint 😊 This is a great way for children to get creative and use their imagination! We have lots of fun together here at The Rainbow Corner ❤️

At the Rainbow Corner our children love to create music with our musical instruments! Look at Namit and Anaya having fun with the xylophone and marimba! 😊😊 Ka pai tamariki!

We made a very yummy afternoon tea today with our apples and cranberries that we have grown on the trees at our centre! Yummy apple and cranberry loaf!!! 😍😍😍

This week our letter of the week is V. This morning we had a lot of fun making volcanoes from vinegar, baking soda, and red dye.
Look at Anaya and Cedric getting stuck in and helping each other to make the volcanoes! Ka Pai tamariki 😊👍

We had a big harvest of APPLES from our garden this week! Tamariki helped to wash and peel the apples. We learnt to hold the peelers and use them safely. With the apples, we made apple sauce and apple crumble.What a treat! 😋
Tamariki learn how kai is made step by step and took part in preparing food. We appreciate papa tuanuku for bringing us healthy food.

Kia Ora Rainbow Corner Whānau and friends! Look at our beautiful garden! Thank you kaiako Jingjing for helping us to plant some coriander, chives, and rosemary for our garden. We are very lucky to have a lovely garden and fruit trees at our centre. We would love it if you could come and check them out when you are next visiting our centre!!!!! 😊😊😊

We had a new friend join us today and his name is Sammy the snail. Have a good look of the pictures to see if you can find him 😊. A big thank you to one of our kaiako for bringing Sammy to our centre.

We had fun with this colour mixing experiment today. Tamariki helped pour water in the cups and dilute the paint. Then, paper bridges were
built between the cups. Tamariki observed how the paint goes and how two different colours mix together.
At Rainbow Corner Christchurch, tamariki have opportunities to explore and make sense of the world.

Tamariki just helped to pick the apples from the apple trees in the garden.
Feel free to take some apples home when you pick up or drop off your lovely child.

Water play is a good way to explore outside in a hot day. Today our tamariki had lots of fun with water. They took turns on water hose and tried very hard to wet each other. They giggled about getting wet and communicated with each other about what they were going to do with the water hose. Ka pai tamariki for your good play.

In Rainbow Corner Early Learning Centre, tamariki has opportunity to use a wide variety of material to actively explore the environment around them.
