Today we took 25 children skiing at Mt Hutt. With a cloudless sky, the sun shined brightly and there was barely a breeze - we experienced a real cracker of a day. There were plenty of smiles, first time successes and loads of support for each other. Here’s to Education Outside the Classroom!

PJ Day was a huge success today! 💤✨

Our classrooms were filled with cosy pyjamas, big smiles, and lots of laughter as we enjoyed a day of learning in comfort and style. It was wonderful to see everyone embracing the fun and showing such great school spirit!

A huge thank you to our whānau for supporting this special day and helping us raise money for Full Bellies. Your generosity will help make a real difference for children and families in the local community.

Have you experienced our school's Rug Sale as a parent or past student? It's quite an experience! The Rug Sale is a special event where students work in small teams to create their own mini market stalls using a rug, blanket, or mat as their shop space. Everything they choose to sell must fit on their rug or mat. Students will sell pre-loved items such as toys, books, games, and handmade goods to help raise funds towards our Term 4 Outdoor Education activities, including our sailing and activity day.

Rug Sale 2026 was one of the best. What a great display of creativity and collaboration from our students! The staff encountered some remarkably effective sales tactics... needless to say we are taking home bundles of items that we didn't know we needed!

Well done to our students who challenged themselves at the North West Cross Country Zones this week. You all trained so hard and put in the effort needed. What amazing Harewood ambassadors you all were.

We are so proud of our junior tamariki and the progress they are making in developing their foundational literacy skills. Learning to recognise lowercase letters and connect them with their corresponding sounds is an important early step in becoming confident readers and writers.

This term we celebrated one of our learners, Donnie, who proudly earned his medal for recognising all of his lowercase letters and accurately identifying their associated sounds.
