Last Wednesday 26th we celebrated Matariki 2024. We would like to say a massive Ngā Mihi / thank you to all of our amazing Whānau who attended and came together, ate some yummy Kai and had some lovely korero with with the Kaiako and each other. We would like to send a big Ngā Mihi to Te Ara Koropiko West Spreydon School West Spreydon School for kindly letting us borrow you awesome Kai cooker.

Lastly to our beautiful Kaiako that came and helped bring this evening together - Ngā Mihi to you all.

A few of the happenings over the past week here at Brynley Street. The tamariki made rice balls with the help of one of ours parents. They tasted delicious! We spent time with our beautiful beautiful Guinea Pigs. And we had lots of fun building friendships 🧡

Happy St Patrick’s Day
Here at Brynley Street we love to dress up and celebrate special days and other cultures. We had green balloons, play dough, shredded paper, paint and lots of tamariki dressed in their green clothes. In the afternoon the tamariki enjoyed some delicious green Kai (food), Julz brought in some kiwi fruit, broccoli, yummy green jelly and the nursery made spinach and banana muffins. It was a fun day full of activities and opportunities for tamariki to use all of their senses to explore.

Yesterday nga kinikini (Guinea pigs) Daisy and Bingo came inside to visit. The tamariki really enjoyed watching them run around in the box and had some kai reka(yummy food) for them. Some tamariki were very brave and held the celery for the kinikini to nibble on and even held them for some cuddles.

We adore our pets here at Brynley Street Nursery & Preschool. Meet Franklin, our famous cat! And Daisy our sweet wee Guinea Pig (having a cuddle with one of our tamariki)🌼
