✨ What helped me grow Restful Sleepers this year wasn’t hustle. It was clarity ✨

Clarity showed up in small, meaningful ways:

✨ Clear messaging: I stopped trying to say everything at once and focused on what truly matters for parents and their little ones.

✨ Gentle consistency: Showing up regularly, in a way that felt sustainable and authentic, made a bigger difference than frantic, last-minute bursts ever could.

✨ Trusting my voice: Letting my experience, knowledge, and intuition guide what I share rather than worrying about what everyone else is doing.

✨ Focusing on helping, not performing: When my goal was genuinely to support parents, growth and connection came naturally, without force or hustle.

This year reminded me that growth isn’t about doing more, it’s about doing what aligns with your heart, clearly and calmly. 🩷

Thumb sucking is one of those habits that raises a lot of questions for parents.

⭐️ Is it helpful for sleep?

⭐️ Will it affect teeth?

⭐️ And when (if ever) should you try to stop it?

The truth is, thumb sucking can actually be a really natural way for little ones to self-soothe, especially at sleep time. But like most things in parenting, there are a few pros and cons to consider.

In my latest blog, I’m breaking down everything parents often wonder about thumb sucking so you can feel more informed and confident in how you support your child.

Comment BLOG below and I’ll send you the link to read it now x

Self-settling is one of the most misunderstood terms in baby sleep.

- It doesn’t mean leaving your baby to cry.
- It doesn’t mean withdrawing comfort.
- And it definitely doesn’t mean forcing independence before they’re ready.

Self-settling simply means your child gradually learning how to fall asleep without needing the exact same support every time they wake.

It’s a skill.

And like any skill, it’s learned with patience, consistency, feeling safe and when it feels like the right time for you and your family.

You can be responsive and help your child build sleep skills. The two aren’t opposites 🤍

Save this if the term has ever felt confusing or overwhelming.

✨ Honoring Women, Supporting Each Other ✨

Today, we celebrate the women who nurture, create, lead, and inspire, sometimes quietly, sometimes boldly. 💛

Being a parent, a professional, a friend, or simply showing up for yourself takes courage every single day. And yet, it’s in these everyday acts that strength shows itself.

This International Women’s Day, I want to pause and honour:
💛 The mums and carers doing their best, even when it’s exhausting
💛 The women who lift others up with kindness and support
💛 The women who trust their instincts, even when the world doubts them

Let’s celebrate each other not just today, but every day, through connection, compassion, and gentle encouragement.

Tag a woman who inspires you, and let’s lift each other up today. 💛

✨ Fun facts about running a small business ✨

1️⃣ Small wins feel HUGE
Every client goal met, every new booking — it’s a little victory that makes my day (sometimes my week!)

Celebrating these moments keeps me motivated and reminds me why I started.

2️⃣ Multi-hat syndrome
Some days I’m CEO, marketer, accountant, designer, and coach… all in the same 24 hours. But juggling it all is part of the adventure.

3️⃣ Mistakes are part of the fun
Missed emails, tech hiccups, or tiny planning fails — they happen. And honestly, they make the wins even sweeter.

4️⃣ Community makes it easier
Having other parents, small biz owners, and clients cheering you on makes the journey so much brighter.

At the end of the day, despite the chaos, all of it is worth it: helping families sleep better, supporting parents, and watching little wins turn into big changes is everything 💜💜💜

✨ Self‑care isn’t always big .... it can be the small things that make a big difference. ✨

As a busy mum and business owner, I’ve learned that movement and nourishing my mind are some of the best ways I look after me, and in turn, show up better for my family and my work

💪 Reform Pilates, Christchurch: I’ve been loving adding Reform Pilates into my week over the past year. It’s a full‑body, low‑impact workout that strengthens, improves posture and mobility, and gives me that endorphin reset I didn’t know I needed. It’s such a great way to move in a focused, energising way

👟 She Moves Online Fitness Community: I’m also part of the She Moves community (have been for 6yrs now!), which has tailored workouts for every stage of motherhood: pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. The workouts are flexible, safe and designed for real mums like us, and the sense of community keeps me motivated even on the busiest weeks .shemoves

🎧 Yeah The Mums Podcast — If you’re after something to listen to while you move (or while you’re cooking, walking, or feeding), Yeah The Mums is one of my go‑to podcasts. It’s full of practical health and wellbeing conversations, and always leaves me feeling inspired, like chatting with a friend .nz

Self‑care doesn’t need to be time‑consuming, it’s the little moments that add up.

Whether it’s moving your body, listening to something uplifting, or simply taking a breath and a break — you deserve it 💙

What’s your favourite way to fit in self‑care this week?
