New Years Day seemed an appropriate time to do a bit of work on the old Honda C50 engine - new con rod & big end bearing, new mains, swapped out the gearbox for something with a little less wear, honed the bore then fitted with new piston & rings. Then blow me down I find I don’t have a gasket to join the two crankcase halves, bu**er (any one in Chch area happen to have one?). All this in preparation for the next Scooter Safari fundraiser for the Cancer Society. If you want to sponsor me go to https://scootersafari.co.nz/clivechapman 😊

Great day for our riders out on their Bronze Ride Forever course, learning new skills & getting set up for their Restricted test. And a lovely ride around the port hills to boot.
