🏏🏉⚽️🏀🏃‍♀️ Thursday Sports with Kelly Sports! 🎉

Every Thursday morning, we are lucky to have Chrissy from Kelly Sports join us for a fun-filled session of ball skills and sports skills!

So far, the children have had the opportunity to learn and practice skills from a range of different sports, including cricket, rugby, football (soccer), basketball and athletics, including shot put and hurdles!

These sessions are such a fun and engaging way for our tamariki to develop their coordination, balance, confidence, teamwork and physical skills, while being introduced to a variety of different sports.

We love seeing the children getting involved, having a go and, most importantly, having lots of fun while learning!

Here at Abacus Montessori, we provide hands on sensorial experiences where Tamariki refine their senses, strengthen observation skills and build a strong foundation for future learning. From exploring colours, textures, sounds, compare and contrast, and grading sizes, every activity encourages concentration, independence, and critical thinking.

Kelly Sports Sporty Shorties programme is coming to Abacus Montessori. Starting on Tuesday 9th June this initial 4 week programme will help to get your children active and build core Fundamental skills through multiple sports and games.

The trained Kelly Sports coaches use a dynamic combination of fun and music to help teach skills key for physical and social development.

With small group sizes, no more than 8 children per group, this allows more personal development and adaptations to suit the needs and requirements of the participants.

With a Licensure Degree in Pedagogy and 3 years of teaching experience, Thaynne brings a passion for learning to our team.

She loves seeing the children's potential shine through experiences and believes in fostering growth through love and support.

Thaynne's all about creating a nurturing space where tamariki can thrive.

Outside of work, she loves biking, reading, and family time.

We're so grateful to have Thaynne as part of our team! 💚

With a Bachelor of Teaching and Learning Primary, Jess is passionate about teaching preschool children and embracing their sense of wonder.

As a provisional teacher, she's keen to learn more about the thinking process of young minds and gain a deeper understanding of each child, their whānau, and learning needs.

Jess is excited to grow and develop with our Abacus Montessori whānau!

At Abacus, our tamariki are mastering maths concepts with fun, hands on activities like sequencing numbers on a fire truck 🚒! Building foundations for a bright future.
