I have been living in Beijing 2 years and love the people there.
back in NZ.
I was invited to attend the Chinese New Year Celebration in BLENHEIM.
I prepared some food as it was a “Bring a Plate”.
At the Entrance, I was refused entrance by the president of this Chinese Organisation.
I asked why and the answer was: We have only permitted to have 100 people.

I could see there were only 25/30 people present.

I complained to the Race Relations Commissioner. Knowing that Commissioner Mung Foon was of Chinese descent.

Of course, I asked only for a conversation to have with the PRESIDENT… In the presence of an adviser from the Race Relations Commissioner. Not to be Punished or fined.
Just acknowledgement that what and why she did was hurtful to another Human being.

The Race Relations Commissioner reacted that it was a private organisation and therefore they had all the right s to decline people…..
But I was invited…!!

I have been discriminated for most of my life. I am of Dutch/German descent…born in 1942 at Amsterdam, NL.
I understand that feelings are hurt because of wars.

I do understand a lot about discrimination.
I married an Indonesian/Dutch Lady and we had children.
I have been a Host Father for Foreign Students since 1995.

- [ ] issued by the OFFICE OF ETHNIC AFFAIRS. and signed by the director Berlinda Chin.
- [ ] I was a brief moment Vice PRESIDENT OF THE Marlborough Multicultural Group Inc.
- [ ] ( not to be mistaken for a similar named Center in BLENHEIM)
- [ ] I hope Mung Foon get what he deserves, hopeful it is a developed brain Function and sensitivity.
