Thank you to Flynn & Eva for doing a great job in leading our assembly today. We were entertained with a fabulous dance by Mia-Grace and our whole school singing 'Pepeha'. Congratulations to Te Kanawa House for winning this fortnight's school values competition.

Congratulations to our SMP students who all performed superbly at last night's appraisal concert. Thanks also to Drs Shepherd & Renaud for commenting on the performances and to Mr Oswin for his wonderful coordination of the event.

Special mention to Nathan who played three songs this morning for our Student Showcase.

Thank you to our wonderful Westburn whānau for supporting our Cyclone Gabrielle fundraiser today. Your generosity has contributed $1,042 to CPPA's fundraising for schools that have been affected.

Thank you to Mr Antonio Dimitrov and our brass students, Jesse, Seth, Mika, Senna, Leo, Mila, Clayton and Eason, for providing such fabulous entertainment at lunchtime.

Congratulations to the students involved in last night's performances at the Burnside Junior Showcase. Our Senior Choir, Orchestra and Jazz Band all performed superbly. It was a big day for them, with rehearsals in the morning.
Thanks must go to Mr Charles Levings for his tuition and preparation of the groups and to Mrs Madeleine Gillman for her superb organisation.

A reminder that our farewell assembly for leaving staff will be held this Friday at 2:15 pm. Any parents and whānau who'd like to join with us as we farewell Mrs Daphne Charlton, Mrs Jenny Poultney, Mrs Jane Brown, Mrs Brooke McKay, Mrs Leanne Hammond and Miss Sam Pricolo are very welcome.

Congratulations to the students who graduated from Te Mātāpuna Mātātahi - Children's University yesterday. We are very proud of your achievements.Thank you to Mrs Jane Brown for her coordination of our involvement, Mrs Shears for her photography and also to the teachers who attended to support their students..

Congratulations to our kapa haka performance group for their outstanding performance at Tūhono yesterday. You were winners in our eyes with your tuneful singing, enthusiastic participation and excellent synchronisation. Ka mau te wehi!
Thanks to Mrs Dale and all who helped the group, and to Matua Steve Reid for his tuition and his organisation of the competition.

We had a great assembly today led by Rachel and Betty. Thank you to Tilly for sharing her notice and also to the members of the Westburn Jazz Band for their superb performance.

The Soroptimist International (Christchurch Branch) scholarship was awarded to Serena and Howard.

The Most Improved Student prize was awarded to Zara.

Congratulations to the students who represented our kura at the Chch Schools' Music Festival on Friday evening. The massed choir, special choirs, concert band and symphony orchestra all benefitted from the skills of Westburn students.
